Euginius Cañete has been the founding member of the Missionaries of Jesus. From 1996 until 2001, he has been serving in Zambia Africa where he became a Pastor of St. Mary Immaculate Parish & St. Paul Parish, a District Superior in CICM Autonomous District of Zambia, a Member of Pastoral Team at St. Maximilliam Kolbe Parish. In 2004, he entered the Institute of Formation & Religious Studies in Quezon City where he works as a lecturer. He also works as a lecturer at Inter-Congregational Theological Center in Quezon City. He became a formator of the MJ Formation Community in Cubao from 2005-2006. He has been a member of the Matrimonial Tribunal in the Diocese of Novaliches (2006-2007) and the Diocese of Antipolo. He is also a member of the Canon Law Society of the Philippines. In 2007, he became a lecturer at the St. Alphonsus Theologate in Davao for one year. Afterwards, he entered the St. Vincent School of Theology where he currently works as a professor. He is also presently working as the District Coordinator of the Missionaries of Jesus and is involved in formation in the Missionaries of Jesus Novitiate Community in Antipolo City.
