Bienvenido Disu worked as full time faculty member and formator at Seminario Mayor de San Carlos in Cebu aside from teaching at St. Vincent School of Theology.  He has taught Canon Law, Liturgy, Pastoral Theology and Spirituality. Aside from his passion in teaching, he is also an active member of the Congregation of the Mission, Philippine Province. Previously, he served as a chaplain of the Asilo La Medalla Milagrosa Chapel in Cebu City. He was also appointed as the Defender of the Bond and as Judicial Vicar of the Archdiocesan Matrimonial Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Cebu. In 1986-2003 he served as the Executive Director of the Visayas Mission Confraternity Inc. and the Northern Luzon Mission Confraternity. During the same year, he also served as the Spiritual Director of the Ozamis Mission Confraternity. In 1998-2003, he fulfilled his duties as chaplain of the Ladies of Charity in Cebu City.
