Fr. Andres Rañoa belongs to the Order of Friars Minor. Presently, he is the provincial treasurer of the Franciscan Province of San Pedro Bautista (Phililippines). He teaches at St. Vincent School of Theology, Maryhill School of Theology, Inter Congregational Theological Center and Our Lady of the Angels Seminary. From 2007-2010 he served as chaplain of Monasterio de Santa Clara in Quezon City. From 2004-2007, he served as the parish and house vicar of the Our Lady of the Abandoned Parish in Manila. He also served as the Confessor to the Poor Clares in Pampanga and Bataan. He was spiritual assistant to the SFO Sta. Ana. In addition, for many years he was the Executive Secretary of the Franciscan East Asia Conference and Editor of The Pilgrim, newsmagazine of the Franciscan Conferences of Asia and Oceania. He was also a member of the secretariat of Extraordinary Chapter of the Order of Friars’ Minor in Assisi in 2006. In 2001, he became the parochial vicar of Santuario de San Pedro Bautista Parish. He also became a resource person on Liturgy and Sacraments on Sojourn (inter-congregational forum for postulants), Exodus (inter-congregational forum for novices) and AWFP. He has published Prayers for a Franciscan Retreat (2003), The Passover Seder: Rediscovering the Root of the Eucharist (1993, 2003) and written an essay “Learning Poverty from Mary” in Mary Conceived Without Sin, Mary Mother of God (1988).
